Heart Health Center at Acton Road

The UAB Heart Health Centers are an outreach of the UAB Heart and Vascular Center providing services to the community for the management and prevention of heart disease.

The UAB Heart Health Center at The Kirklin Clinic® at Acton Road, is conveniently located in a neighborhood setting south of town, just off I-459.

The UAB Heart Health Center is staffed with experienced and knowledgeable UAB cardiologists and nurses who provide primary cardiac care and follow-up for:

  • coronary artery disease
  • congestive heart failure
  • rhythm disturbances
  • diseased valves
  • and other heart and vessel diseases.

Patients who require pacemakers, surgery, or advanced treatments can receive referrals to specialists at UAB Hospital and The Kirklin Clinic® in UAB’s Medical Center District.

Community education is another focus of the UAB Heart Health Center. Staff members provide regular seminars to the community on topics such as heart disease prevention and management. UAB’s popular EatRight weight management program offers ongoing classes at the Acton Road clinic.
