UAB's Division of Urology Hosts FREE Prostate Cancer Screening

The UAB Division of Urology and the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center are pleased to host a FREE prostate cancer screening Friday, Sept. 18, from 1 to 7 p.m. in The Kirklin Clinic.

The American Cancer Society recommends informed decision-making with your healthcare professional when considering a screen for prostate cancer, particularly for men ages 50 and above. When detected early, prostate cancer can many times be successfully treated.

Screenings will be held in the Urology Clinic on the 5th floor of The Kirklin Clinic at 2000 6th Avenue South in the medical center district of downtown Birmingham. No appointment is needed, and parking is free in The Kirklin Clinic deck. For more information, call 800-UAB-8816 or visit www.uabmedicine.org.

In partnership with the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, the UAB Division of Urology offers a multidisciplinary approach to prostate cancer care. The UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only one in a five-state region to have the National Cancer Institute's comprehensive designation. The center is a leader in groundbreaking research, leading-edge patient care and is home to our cancer services, ranked as one of the nation's best according to U.S.News & World Report.
