Surgery
UAB’s Division of Surgical Oncology provides comprehensive cancer patient care for a broad array of malignancies. Because our specialists work in conjunction with specialists from the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Division of Hematology/Oncology, we can make a variety of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic services available to our patients, including robotically assisted cancer surgeries. The Division of Surgical Oncology treats patients with neoplasms arising in the breast, colon/rectum/anus, endocrine glands (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pancreas), esophagus, head & neck, lymph nodes, skin (melanoma and non-melanoma), salivary glands and soft tissues (sarcoma).
